BCA SPOTLIGHT


Wishing You Happy Holidays! - BCA wishes every resident the warmest wishes for the holiday season and a prosperous new year!
  • Holiday Hours: The BCA Management Office will close Monday, December 23rd at 3 PM and remain closed through Wednesday, December 25th. The office will reopen on Thursday, December 26th at 9 AM.
  • New Year’s Hours: The BCA Management Office will close on Tuesday, December 31st at 1 PM and remain closed through Wednesday, January 1st. The office will reopen on Thursday, January 2nd at 9 AM.
  • Friday Flash: BCA will not send a Friday Flash message on Friday, December 27th. The Friday Flash will resume on Friday, January 3rd.

Brambleton Magazine Winter Issue - The Winter 2019-2020 issue of the Brambleton Magazine has been mailed to all Brambleton residents, and you can view the magazine online here. INSIDE BCA

Yard Debris Pickup - Please note that seasonal yard debris pickup will end for the year on Tuesday, December 24th and will resume on Tuesday, March 3rd.

Christmas Tree Recycling Pickup - Services are scheduled for Tuesday, January 7th and Tuesday, January 14th. Trees in excess of 8 feet are to be cut in half, and all lights and decorations are to be removed before placing trees curbside. Trees placed curbside after January 14th will be picked up as regular trash on scheduled collection days.

Brambleton Pool Lifeguards - Are you interested in lifeguarding at a Brambleton pool next year? BCA is partnering with Titan Pool Service to provide pool management at our pools in 2020. Visit www.titanpools.com or call 703-361-3177 to apply and find more information.

New 2020 Assessment Rates Effective 1/1/2020 - The 2020 Assessments & Budget Summary can be viewed on the BCA website here. Please take a moment to review and adjust your payments to align with the new assessment rates. Contact hoa@brambleton.org if you have questions or need more information regarding the various payment options available.

Connect Resident Portal - FirstService Residential has launched a new and improved resident portal to access your assessment account. The new site features an improved design and enhanced security, providing access to the portal anytime from any device. Homeowners are able to make payments, check balances, and link multiple Brambleton properties under one login account. BCA Board minutes and monthly financial statements will be viewable in the portal as well. Visit our website to register for access and find additional information.


BRAM GIVES BACK

Care for CaregiversBCA and the American Red Cross are joining together to collect items for Caregivers Kits. Kits are provided to family members of Walter Reed extended stay patients. A list of needed items and more information can be found here. You can drop your donations in the North Pole Mailbox in the Brambleton Welcome Center until Sunday, January 5th.

Kids Craft for INOVA Children’s Hospital - Brambleton Community Association will be collecting No-Sew Blankets to be donated to INOVA Children's Hospital. You and your family can make blankets for a child and drop them off at the BCA office by Monday, January 6th. Click here for instructions and more details.

Bram Bus: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - Looking for the perfect holiday gift? Grab seats on the Bram Bus to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on Sunday, April 26th at the National TheatreTickets cost $125 per person and include transportation on the Bram Bus and a show ticket. COMMUNITY STANDARDS

Pet Nuisance - Our office has recently received an increase in reports of dog barking disturbances. As stated in Brambleton’s Policy Resolution # 7, the following shall be grounds for complaint and finding of a community nuisance:
  • Pets making or causing noises of sufficient volume to interfere with other residents' rest or peaceful enjoyment of the property.
Please be mindful of your neighbors and do not allow your pet to bark for an extended period. Residents are welcome to submit a barking dog complaint on the Loudoun County website. Click here to report general animal related complaints, including feces removal, to Loudoun County. In addition, Loudoun County Animal Control can be reached at 703-777-0406. For emergency complaints after hours, please contact the Sheriff’s Department at 703-777-1021.

Seeking New Covenants Committee Member BCA is currently seeking a new Covenants Committee member to fill one vacant position on the committee. If you are interested, or know someone who is, please plan to attend and observe the next meeting on Tuesday, January 13th. Meetings begin at 7 PM on the second Tuesday of every month at the BCA Management Office (42395 Ryan Rd, Ste 210). Residents can visit our Covenants Committee page for more information. GREATER BRAMBLETON

40 for 40 Campaign by Winchester Homes - Celebrate Winchester Homes’ 40th birthday by giving back to the community. Donate any amount to the charity of your choosing (eligible to receive donations through Facebook) and they will also make a $40 donation to that charity in your name. Learn more and help your charity raise extra funds this holiday season. Campaign ends Tuesday, December 31st.

LCSO to Conduct Sobriety Checkpoint - The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office will conduct a sobriety checkpoint tonight, December 20th, beginning shortly after 10 PM. Members of the LCSO Auxiliary Unit and volunteers from the Loudoun Chapter of MADD will assist with the checkpoint.

Help Fight the Spotted Lanternfly: Check Your Christmas Trees - If you purchased a Christmas tree that was not grown in Loudoun County, officials ask that you examine the tree to look for egg masses of the spotted lanternfly, an invasive insect that can affect agricultural and ornamental plants. If you find egg masses on your tree, please take a photo and send it to County officials through the online form here, then destroy the eggs by scraping them into a baggy with alcohol.
