Properly Securing your Trash and Recyclables
- Winter is a time of high winds which can cause havoc on trash and recyclables that have been placed curbside for collection. It is important that these items are properly secured so that they don’t become wind-blown litter problems for your neighbors. All trash should be placed in plastic bags and contained within the Association provided Republic toters with fitted lids. Recyclables such as boxes and milk jugs should be crushed or broken down and placed in the lidded recycle toter. Taking these basic actions will greatly reduce the amount of wind-blown litter that results when toters are blown over by the winds. BCA staff will continue to proactively monitor and inspect for proper set out of trash and recycling with the goal to reduce the amount of litter that ends up around the community. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Covenants team at firstname.lastname@example.org
