COVENANTS

Properly Securing your Trash and Recyclables - Winter is a time of high winds which can cause havoc on trash and recyclables that have been placed curbside for collection. It is important that these items are properly secured so that they don’t become wind-blown litter problems for your neighbors.  All trash should be placed in plastic bags and contained within the Association provided Republic toters with fitted lids.  Recyclables such as boxes and milk jugs should be crushed or broken down and placed in the lidded recycle toter.  Taking these basic actions will greatly reduce the amount of wind-blown litter that results when toters are blown over by the winds. BCA staff will continue to proactively monitor and inspect for proper set out of trash and recycling with the goal to reduce the amount of litter that ends up around the community. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Covenants team at covenants@brambleton.org or 703-542-6263.

Highlight on Design Guidelines –  The Design Review Guidelines are currently under review and revision by the Covenants Committee and staff. The process to revise guidelines is to first have the Covenants Committee review staff recommendations for revisions. This is taking place currently. These revisions will then be presented to the Board of Directors at their April 4, 2016 meeting. When approved, the revised guidelines will then go to the Attorney for review and then to Brambleton residents for public comment. These revisions will then go back to the committee and then the Board for adoption.  The current copy of the Design guidelines can be viewed on our website, and staff and the Committee welcome any comments and suggestions for revisions.  If you have any questions, please contact Elizabeth Stulga at designreview@brambleton.org or call 703-542-6263.

Design Review – The next meeting for Design Review will be Monday, March 14, 2016 at 7:00 PM.  If you would like your application reviewed for accuracy prior to the meeting, please submit it prior to March 7, 2016. Applications will be accepted in the office up to 4:00 PM on March 14 but may not be reviewed for accuracy and completion prior to the meeting. If you have any questions regarding the design review process or guidelines, please visit the website, or contact Elizabeth Stulga at designreview@brambleton.org, or call 703-542-6263.
