COVENANTS

Holiday Decorations
– This is a friendly reminder that the time period for displaying winter holiday decorations has come and gone. The current weather forecast is predicting nice weather for Saturday, so you may wish to plan your removal of decorations around then. Inspections for holiday decorations is currently underway. The Design Guidelines state that holiday decorations should be removed no later than 14 days after the holiday. Please remove any holiday decorations if you have not already done so. Please exercise caution when removing your decorations, and contact the Covenants team with any questions.

Pet Waste Removal - Please be a considerate neighbor and pick up and dispose of your pet’s waste. There are several pet waste stations located throughout Brambleton that contain waste bags and a trash can. Removal and disposal is part of our Pet Policy, as well as a Loudoun County ordinance, whether on your own property or in a common area. It is unsightly, unsanitary, and harmful to the environment to allow the waste to remain.  More information can be found here.

Highlight on Design Guidelines –  All patios require approval by the Covenants Committee. Submission requirements include a copy of the recorded plat with the location of the patio marked on it as close to scale as possible, photographs showing the proposed location, a material list (photos of spec sheets welcomed), a landscape plan as applicable, and a detailed plan for drainage. Please note that there can be no adverse effect to drainage as a result of the constructed patio. A copy of the Design Guidelines  for patios can be viewed on our website. Also note that the Design Guidelines are in the process of revision, and staff and the Committee welcome any comments and suggestions for revisions.  If you have any questions, please contact Elizabeth Stulga at designreview@brambleton.org or call 703-542-6263.

Design Review – The next meeting for Design Review will be Monday, March 14, 2016 at 7:00 PM.  If you would like your application reviewed for accuracy prior to the meeting, please submit it prior to March 7, 2016. Applications will be accepted in the office up to 4:00 PM on March 14 but may not be reviewed for accuracy and completion prior to the meeting. If you have any questions regarding the design review process or guidelines, please visit the website, or contact Elizabeth Stulga at designreview@brambleton.org, or call 703-542-6263.
