Boca Field Terrace Closure - The water main connections being made along Shreveport have been delayed. The south entrance to the Trent Grove neighborhood via Boca Field Terrace will remain closed until Monday at the earliest. There is a trench box in the excavation that will have a top put on to secure it. The area will be well marked and lit to identify the hazard. All necessary precautions will be taken to make these areas as safe as possible, however we encourage all residents to stay out of this and all construction areas.
Street Sweeping - BCA has made arrangements to have all VDOT streets, BCA Streets, and Developer streets with no active home construction swept to remove excessive amounts of sand and debris. The street sweeping service will begin on March 15th, weather permitting. The BCA townhome streets will be swept first, followed by VDOT streets and BCA single-family dwelling common drives; Developer streets will be swept last. You may view the 2016 Snow Removal Street List as a reference. Residents are asked to assist with the sweeping process by taking the following actions:
- Park vehicles in garages and driveways so that the sweeper can service the entire street.
- Blow or sweep any sand on driveway aprons or sidewalks into the street.
- Blow sand off the concrete curb and gutter portion of the street to expedite service, but do not place sand into piles on the street.
Daily sweeping updates and scheduled will be posted to the News section of the BCA website at www.BrambletonHOA.com.

Spring Lawn Care 101
- These steps can get your lawn off to a good start:
Highlight on Design Guidelines
- Rake - First be sure to remove all the leaves, thatch and downed branches.
- Aerate - Lawn aeration is typically recommended in the fall; however, if your lawn was not aerated this past fall, it is beneficial for your lawn to aerate within the next few weeks.
- Fertilize - A light application of fertilizer will do wonders. Be sure to follow the label's instructions.
- Apply pre-emergent herbicides - This will stop most weed seeds from germinating. Do not aerate after applying the pre-emergent.
- Mower maintenance - At a minimum, be sure to sharpen your mower blade before you start mowing for the season.
- Mulch landscape beds and trees - Spring is a great time to mulch the plants in your yard. Mulch helps retain moisture in the soil and keeps weeds from growing in your landscape beds.
– Staining or painting a fence, deck, or any exterior element requires review and approval prior to commencement. The specific guidelines can be viewed under color changes on the website
. One requirement is that in attached housing, the color/medium or materials must match the original. Also note that the Design Guidelines are in the process of revision, and staff and the Committee welcome any comments and suggestions for revisions.
