Brambleton Update - Summer

Asphalt Seal Coating Project: Day Three

Tomorrow will kick off day three of the seal coating project.  Significant weather is in the forecast that may impact the application on Thursday.  If this is the case, Day 3 work will be moved to Wednesday, 6/29.  At this time, the "road closed" and "no parking" signs have been placed out as if the work will take place as originally scheduled. The below streets will be closed for a 24-hour period so that the seal coat can be applied and have time to dry. All travel and parking on these streets will be prohibited during this time.

DAY 3 - Thursday, June 23 (or a rain date of Wednesday, June 29)

  • Bremerton Alley
  • Cantrell Alley
  • Eversole Terrace
  • Fanshaw Square
  • Gluckmans Alley
  • Malachite Terrace
  • Redstone Terrace
  • Rockslide Terrace
  • Rose Quartz Square
  • Angela Faye Square
  • Connie Marie Terrace
  • Patrick Wayne Square

Please review the map and the "Dark Blue" streets that will be closed.

RELOCATING VEHICLES: Vehicles remaining on these streets after 7:00 AM will be relocated to the Brambleton Town Center or a nearby VDOT street by a tow company. Vehicles in residents’ driveways and garages will also need to be relocated by the owners if they plan or need to use their vehicle during the 24-hour road closure period. **Please be cautious of parking vehicles on other BCA streets that are scheduled to be seal coated, as similar restrictions and relocation efforts will also take place.

ACCESS TO STREETS:  All access to the streets during this time is restricted.  Freshly applied seal coating will track.  Be sure to stay off the streets.  If applicable, educate and inform your children; also keep your pets off.  BCA will place plywood down in strategic locations to serve as crossing points for pedestrians.

IRRIGATION SYSTEMS: If applicable, residents must turn off their irrigation systems during this 24-hour period.  Wet streets or water sprayed onto freshly seal coated street will negatively impact the application.  BCA will also be turning its systems off in the area of the treated streets.

UPDATE FOR DAY 1 - Tuesday, June 21:  Due to inclement weather on Tuesday, June 21, we were unable to apply the seal coating to all the planned roads/alleys.  These roads/alleys have been rescheduled to be seal coated on Saturday, June 25.  We will send out further information regarding these road closures in a follow-up email.  Additionally, flyers were distributed today to the affected homes.

FURTHER INFORMATION: It is important that all affected residents understand how they will be impacted.  Please review the full information packet that was distributed to all impacted addresses.  This information is also on the BCA website at   If you have questions after reading this information, please email BCA's Capital Projects Coordinator at
