Brambleton Votes! - Brambleton encourages eligible residents to vote and to be engaged in the upcoming election process.  

  • There will be several opportunities over the next month for residents to register in person - without having to leave the neighborhood - including Fall Fest on October 8th and DMV2GO on October 14th.  Eligible residents may also register to vote online. The deadline to register to vote is October 17th.

Post-Season Pool Hours - Stratford Landing Pool will remain open on the following dates:

  • Saturday, September 17th & Sunday, September 18th:  11:00 AM - 6:00 PM


Hold On To Your Pool Passes For Next Summer! - Homeowners' pool passes are valid for as long as they live in Brambleton.  Renters will need to provide a valid copy of their lease as well as a new Letter of Permission signed by the property owner each year.  Please visit our Pools page for more information.

Development Activity Update 

Blasting in Brambleton - As a developing community, construction activities are occurring throughout Brambleton on a daily basis. Blasting is one of these activities; this is a large site, and it will take several weeks to complete blasting activities. This first round is for the first phase of development.  Crews typically prepare the site for blast in the morning or early afternoon hours and will typically perform the blast mid-afternoon.   


Brambleton’s Developer Continues to Perform Bond Release Activity Throughout the Community - Unless otherwise specified, work may include asphalt repair, concrete marking, break and repair; marking, or digging and installation of street lights. Work typically begins in the early morning and is complete by the early afternoon. In addition to the ongoing development in the community, for the week of 9/19/16, bond release activity may occur in the following sections (see site map for locations):

Safe Sitter Course - October 2nd, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, at the Community Center.  This course is designed for 11-14 year olds and includes topics like behavior management, CPR and First Aid, and more.  Spaces are limited, so sign up today.

Reminder: Children's Storytime Is Back at the Community Center - Tuesdays at 10:00 AM.  Now that schools are in session, Storytime is back in its original location. *Please note that Storytime will be canceled any time schools are out due to inclement weather, holidays, teacher workdays, etc.  Visit our website to learn more.

Save the Date: Balloon Release Remembrance – October 16th, 11:00 AM.  Bella Ballerina recently helped form a non-profit called Too Good For Earth, which aims to support parents who are grieving over a child lost to miscarriage or stillbirth.  They will host a Balloon Release Remembrance Event next month at the amphitheater near the Town Center.  All are welcome.  Details can be found on their Facebook page.


COVENANTS

Common Area Encroachment:  For residents with Lots adjacent to Common Area, the Association wishes to make you aware of our efforts to ensure that the Common Areas are maintained with a harmonious aesthetic as natural area; the information below provides more detail.  Residents are reminded that per Brambleton’s Declaration, no one owner, or group of owners, is entitled to make personal or exclusive use of the Common Area.  The Association takes this requirement seriously and does not permit exclusive personal use of the Common Area or encroachment into the Common Area.    

  • Changes to the common area are not permitted without prior written approval from the Association.    
  • Storage of personal items or equipment in the common area is not permitted. This includes, but is not limited to, woodpiles, play equipment, and sheds.  
  • Dumping or placing materials such as grass clippings or construction materials is not permitted.

If any resident, or their contractor, is found to be making personal use of the common areas, they are subject to the cost of removal, restoration, and related costs.  They may be subject to further additional charges or other sanctions permitted by the Association's governing documents.  The Common Area is for the use and enjoyment of the Owners of the Association. Please contact the Covenants Advisors at 703-542-6263 or covenants@brambleton.org with any questions or to report a concern.

Farmers’ Market - September 18th, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Legacy Park.  We're starting to see the best of autumn's bounty!  Pumpkins, acorn squash, and sweet potatoes are all making appearances. And this weekend, hungry campers can purchase delicious goodies just feet away from their tents Sunday morning. Can't get service like that out in the woods!

Brambleton’s Birthday Celebration: #15YearsofBram - September 24th, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM.  Plan to attend Brambleton’s 15th Birthday Celebration & Cake Decorating Contest at the Welcome Center.  To enter, please e-mail us at brambletoninfo@gmail.com by Sept. 22nd to let us know you will bring in a decorated cake.  All cakes must be at the Welcome Center by 1:45 PM on September 24th.  After the judging takes place at 2:00 PM, we will have a community birthday party to enjoy your creations.  Please call 703-542-2925 for more information.

COUNTY CORNER


Blasting to Occur Along Dulles Greenway - Continuing into October, Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project crews will begin intermittent blasting to remove heavy diabase (hard rock) from the median of the Dulles Greenway at the site of the Silver Line's future Loudoun Gateway Station near the Old Ox Road overpass (mile marker 11.0). One blast per day will take place between 1:30 PM and 2:20 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays in September and October.  Click here for more information.

MWAA Seeks Your Input on Development of Parcel Near Brambleton - The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority is initiating preparation of an Environmental Assessment (EA) to evaluate and disclose the potential environmental impacts associated with proposed development of a 416-acre parcel of property that it owns at Dulles Airport, known as the Western Land Area.  Click here for more information.
