Christmas Tree Recycling – Christmas tree collection and recycling will take place next Wednesday, January 14th.  Please place trees curbside by 6:00 AM.  In addition, Loudoun County is offering five locations for residents to drop off their Christmas trees for recycling here.

Brambleton Community Association is Seeking a Full-Time Resident Services Administrator? - In addition to meeting the requirements of the job description for the position with a secondary area of focus on Lifestyles Support, ideal candidates for this position will have several years of business experience, a positive and professional demeanor and a customer service mindset. The successful candidate will demonstrate commitment to uphold BCA’s Vision, Mission and Core Values, be well organized, have strong communication skills, and be self-motivated.  Prior experience working for a community or municipality is a plus.

Brambleton Road Runners – Ever wonder who those people are out running with headlamps?  Looking for friends to keep you honest about your New Year’s resolution?  The Brambleton Road Runners 2015 membership sign-up is now open.  They have runners of all ages and paces and are always looking for more.  Currently, they run regularly on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday mornings with various breakfasts and happy hours thrown in the mix.  Check out their Facebook page for more information!

Kids Night Out – On February 6th from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Brambleton Kids Care (BKC) will be hosting a PJ Party at the Brambleton Corner Clubhouse for kids ages 3 – 5th grade (must be potty trained).  We will provide a pizza dinner, G-rated movie, and crafts.  Cost is $20 for first child and $10 for siblings. All proceeds will go to BKC to help raise funds for future volunteer events. Children's Storytime – Due to the inclement weather this week, the Loudoun County Public Library storytime at Brambleton Community Center (42645 Regal Wood Drive), will begin next Tuesday, January 13 at 10:00 AM. Brambleton Book Club FAQ’s – Q: Where is it held?  A: Community Center (42645 Regal Wood Drive); Q: When is the first meeting? A: Monday, January 12th at 7:30 PM. Book Club will meet the 2nd Monday of each month.; Q: Do you have to register to join? A: No, just show up.; Q: Do I have to be at the meeting to participate? A: No, the first book has already been chosen and will be handed out at the first meeting; however, any extra copies can be picked up at the HOA office.; Q: Do I have to be a member of the library? Is it Common Area? – When walking throughout Brambleton, it’s not always easy to determine if some areas are common areas or private property.  The covenants team has received several concerns from residents who have noticed an increase in people walking on and or through their yards. If you are unsure as to whether you are on common area or private property, you may enter the address in question on Loudoun County’s Mapping System and it will show the lot lines. You may also contact the Covenants team and they can guide you. 

Snow Removal – The county requirement for removing snow from sidewalks adjacent to properties is six hours after the snow stops falling. If you are unable to shovel or would simply like to hire someone to assist you please refer to the Snow Blowing and Shoveling Provider Directory.

Covenants Meeting – The next meeting for application review will be on Monday January 12th at 7:00 PM. If you have any questions, please contact the Covenants Team.

Home Based Businesses – Home based businesses are permitted with the proper approval from the Board of Directors and the appropriate government agency. Such businesses should not generate significant traffic or parking issues by clients, customers or persons related to the business. This restriction and others are documented in Policy Resolution #10.


Sport&Health New Member Open House Jan 12th & 13th – Stop by or call to hear about our New Year Membership Specials!! Construction update – we are on track for our 4,800 square foot expansion.  The Athlete Performance Center and expanded Kidz Klub will be open in early January.  Mark your calendars for our grand re-opening Feb 7th from 10:00 – 2:00 PM.  Details to follow!  


Stay Off Frozen Ponds – Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office and the Loudoun County Department of Fire, Rescue and Emergency Management are reminding residents to never walk on frozen streams, rivers and ponds.  “It is especially important for parents to speak with their children about the dangers of walking and playing on frozen ponds and rivers,” said Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman. “If you live near a waterway, we ask that you remain watchful for children attempting to venture onto the ice,” Sheriff Chapman added. Many communities in Loudoun County strictly prohibit ice skating on frozen ponds. More winter safety and preparedness tips can be found online.
