AROUND BRAMBLETON


INSIDE BCA  

BCA 101 Open House - July 26th, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM at the Welcome Center.  Stop in to meet the Staff and learn more about the operations of BCA, as well as upcoming events and meetings.

Asphalt Maintenance Starting August 7th - Asphalt maintenance on several private BCA streets and alleys in Sections 12, 15-17, and 19, as well as the trail along the north side of Ryan Road, is scheduled to begin on Monday, August 7th, weather permitting.  The asphalt maintenance will include seal coating, to be followed by re-striping of the fire lanes, parking space lines, and stop bars. DEVELOPER NEWS


Construction Activity Ongoing – Blasting is ongoing in the area south of the Town Center.  Blasts are typically preceded by a series of short warning sounds, and steps will be taken to reduce any negative impact on residents. Access through or in active construction areas is prohibited. Please click here for more information.

Brambleton’s Developer Continues to Perform Bond Release Activity Throughout the Community - Work typically begins in the early morning and is complete by the early afternoon.  In addition to the ongoing development in the community, for the week of 7/24/17, bond release activity may occur in the following sections (see site map for locations):

  • Creighton Road
  • Northstar Blvd from Creighton Road to Shreveport Drive



LIFESTYLES

Teen Late Night Swim - Tonight, 8:00 PM - 11:00 PM at Beacon Crest Pool.  Rising 6th - 12th graders are invited to enjoy the pool all to themselves.  Don't forget your pool pass! More info here.  

Movie on the Green - August 11th at Corner Clubhouse.  Bring your blankets, chairs, and coolers, and join us on the lawn for a screening of La La Land!  Movie starts at dusk. More info here.

Roller Coaster Ridge Family Night - August 12th at Corner Clubhouse.  Build a roller coaster out of everyday items in this hands-on STEAM program that teaches kids how to solve problems with engineering and creating through art!  Register here!

Wine 101: Classy or Klassy? - August 26th, 7:00 PM at Community Center.  You get to be the judge in the next installment of our quarterly program, which will feature a blind tasting of inexpensive and not so inexpensive wines.  Register here!

Save the Date: BRAM Fam Splash & Dash! - Saturday, September 9th, starting at 9:00 AM at the Brambleton Corner Clubhouse.  For more information and to register, visit the website.

COVENANTS

Comprehensive Lot Inspections Starting July 24th – The Covenants Advisors will be conducting comprehensive inspections for Section 14 and Trent Grove.  Included as part of these inspections is confirmation that proper documentation for all modifications, such as an approved application, is on file with the Association. All inspections are performed by BCA staff. Staff does not enter fenced yards or access decks during these inspections.  In accordance with the Association’s enforcement policies, notice will be sent to provide time to correct items noted to be in violation of Brambleton’s governing documents or policies. Save the Date: Mobile Hope Housing Forum - August 29th, 5:30 PM at Leesburg Junction.  Join this forum to discuss housing options, needs, time lines, processes, and the urgency of finding more permanent housing solutions for the county's at-risk youths.  More info here.

Bicycle Outfitters Hosts Weekly Bike Rides - Choose from Wednesday Family Rides or the Friday Bike & Brew that ends at Lost Rhino! Meet at 5:45 PM each night (bring a helmet and water). Rides depart at 6:00 PM.

COUNTY CORNER


LoCo Mental Health First Aid Course Registration - Courses will help participants understand mental illness, learn how to seek timely intervention, and save lives.  Separate courses are available for adults and for those aged 12-17.  Learn more here.   

Blasting for Claiborne Parkway Construction to Begin July 24th - Blasting will continue for approximately three weeks. The construction project will expand Claiborne Parkway into a four-lane, median divided road between Ryan Road and Croson Lane.
