Save the Date - BCA's Annual Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 14th at 7:00 PM at the Brambleton Corner Clubhouse.  Notice of the meeting will be mailed to all official owners and co-owners next week.

Retire Your American Flag Properly - A case built by BSA Troop 2970, in conjunction with American Legion Post 2001, is located outside the BCA Management Office as a collection point for US Flags to be retired.  You may drop off your worn-out and weathered flags at any time.

Brambleton’s Developer Continues to Perform Bond Release Activity throughout the Community - Work typically begins in the early morning and is complete by the early afternoon.  In addition to the ongoing development in the community, for the upcoming week, bond release activity may occur in the following sections (see site map for locations):

  • Creighton Road from Olympia Drive to Evergreen Mills
  • Northstar Blvd from Creighton Road to Shreveport Drive


LIFESTYLES

Zombie Run – THIS SATURDAY! Perfect night for a spooky 5k.  Walk-up registration Friday between 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM and Saturday between 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Lost Rhino Retreat. Remember you can be a runner or a zombie! For more information, check out our website.
 
Road Closures – The following roads will be closed and/or partially blocked on Saturday for the Zombie Run.

  • 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM – Brambleton Plaza – closed
  • 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM – Olympia Dr between Creighton Rd and Soave Dr will be partially blocked
  • 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM – Soave Dr will be partially blocked, and cars may be delayed
  • 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM  – Regal Wood Dr between Capital One entrance and Northstar Blvd will be blocked along with the side entrance to the parking garage

Step Up and Support Local Breast Cancer Patients - The Step Sisters are currently accepting donations of gently worn, used and new shoes. The drop-off box is located in the Welcome Center's pass through, open 9 AM - 10 PM.
 
Coat Drive - Local HS PASTA members are hosting a coat drive through mid-November. Drop off your new or gently worn coats in the Welcome Center.

COMMUNITY STANDARDS

Holiday Decorations & Lighting - As the holidays roll out, here are a few things to keep in mind: Holiday decorations and lighting do not require approval by the Covenants Committee. Nevertheless, if the Covenants Committee determines that any decorations or lighting attract excessive traffic, unreasonably interfere with the use and enjoyment of the Common Area or adjacent Lots, or cause a dangerous condition to exist, the resident responsible must remove the decorations or lighting within 48 hours after receiving notice from the Association. In addition, all materials must be within the boundaries of the Lot of the resident making the display. Exterior decorations may be placed out thirty (30) days in advance of the holiday and removed not later than fourteen (14) days after the holiday. Christmas or winter decorations may be placed out as early as the day after Thanksgiving and may remain on display until January 15th.

COUNTY CORNER


Loudoun County Sheriff's Office to Conduct Joint Sobriety Checkpoint - on Friday, October 27, 2017 starting shortly after 10:00 PM.  Members of the LCSO Auxiliary Unit and the Loudoun Chapter of MADD will assist with the checkpoint. 

Prescription Drug Take Back Day is October 28, 2017 - Discard potentially dangerous and expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs for destruction on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at four sites including the Dulles South Public Safety Center located at 23215 Loudoun County Parkway, South Riding, VA 20152.  More information and other disposal information is available here.  

LCSO Dulles South Quarterly Station Meeting - Thursday, November 2nd at 7:00 PM, this meeting is open to the public and provides an opportunity for residents to discuss crime trends and community-related concerns with law enforcement.  Details here.
