Legacy Park Tennis Courts and Practice Walls - Residents are reminded that the tennis courts are to be used for tennis only. There has been an increased use of the courts as a dog park, kids' bike course, skate park and lacrosse field. These activities will cause unnecessary damage to the courts’ surfacing and practice wall. The practice wall cannot be used for lacrosse, as the dense lacrosse balls will crack the lightweight material used to construct the practice wall.

Bluebirds Nesting in Your Mailbox? - With the bluebird nesting season underway and lack of available nesting sites, we have in the past found that juvenile bluebird parents resort to nest building in residential mailbox newspaper compartments. If you find a nesting pair and are worried about their safety, please email the Brambleton Bluebirds Garden Club (BBGC). The BBGC may be able to install a guard over the slot entrance to mitigate predators and solicitors from disturbing the site.
Another feather in our cap! The BBGC is pleased to announce that we are the first Virginia Chapter of the Cornell University Ornithology Lab NestWatch program. NestWatch is a citizen science program designed to track status and trends in the reproductive biology of birds across the United States. Feel free to contact the BBGC with your questions or concerns via email.
