AROUND BRAMBLETON

INSIDE BCA

Close Garages!  Remove Valuables and Lock Vehicles! - These are three quick steps you can take to help protect your property from a crime of opportunity. In an effort to deter residential burglaries during the summer and better prepare citizens, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office Crime Prevention Unit will be holding a Home Security and Burglary Prevention class on June 17th at 7:00 PM, at the Dulles South Public Safety Center community Room (25216 Loudoun County Parkway in  Chantilly, VA). Trained personnel will offer tips on how to properly secure your home. Residents are also encouraged to report any suspicious activity, persons or vehicles immediately by calling the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office at 703-777-1021. See Something, Say Something.

See Something?  Say Something! - You and your neighbors know best what the “normal “ conditions are on your street and in your neighborhood. If you see something suspicious, call Loudoun County Sheriff Office’s non-emergency number immediately.  Don’t assume it’s nothing! Let the LCSO Deputy investigate and determine that.  It’s better that you call and it turns out to be nothing, than to wish you had called after the fact.  Program the LCSO non-emergency number into your phone now so it is there when you need it.  703-777-1021

Northstar BLVD Closed Between Creighton RD and Majestic Knolls DR - This section of Northstar Blvd. is closed through the summer to all vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Hazardous conditions will exist throughout this construction project, and it is imperative for safety's sake that everyone remains clear of this area. The detour for pedestrians, runners and bicyclists is the Creighton Rd trail to the Olympia Dr sidewalk to the Brambleton Town Center to Northstar. Vehicular traffic shall use Creighton Rd to Belmont Ridge Rd to Ryan Rd for their detour. Please note that there is no outlet to Northstar Blvd from Majestic Knolls Drive and Emerald Chase Place.

Sharing the Trails - It’s summer, schools are out, and all the cool kids (and kids at heart) are riding bikes. What does that mean for drivers, bikers, and pedestrians? Check out state laws and VDOT’s guidelines and tips for following the rules, being courteous, and staying safe this summer!

Community Voice: Removal of the Belmont Trace Black Fence? - The Association is considering the removal of the black board fence located along Belmont Ridge Road in the Belmont Trace neighborhood (just south of Creighton Road) and is seeking resident comments. For further information and to comment on this, please visit our website and submit comments through the Community Voice portal.
