COMMUNITY STANDARDS

Exterior Lighting Inspections Scheduled - Brambleton residents are responsible for ensuring the proper operation of exterior lighting fixtures which are designed to function automatically. BCA staff conducts quarterly inspections of proper operation of carriage lights, garage lights, and builder-installed landscape lights which should operate from dawn until dusk. These inspections will begin on Saturday, June 2nd. More information on maintaining the functioning of exterior lights can be found on our website. Please contact communitystandards@brambleton.org with any questions.

Spring Property Maintenance - BCA reminds residents to review the Property Maintenance Standards, which include the requirement that all turf must be maintained at a height not to exceed 6 inches. Community Standards Advisors are conducting community-wide inspections to ensure compliance with these standards. To report concerns, please contact communitystandards@brambleton.org.

Curb Your Paint - This is a friendly reminder that Republic Services does not collect latex paint in liquid form. For paint to be collected curbside, paint cans must be completely dry or the paint inside solidified. To solidify paint, you must do the following:

  1. Add an absorbent material such as kitty litter, sawdust, or newspaper. A commercial waste paint hardener may also be available at home improvement stores.
  2. Once the paint has fully dried, the paint container may be placed at the curb with regular household waste for disposal.

Additionally, Republic Services can collect ONLY latex paint. Oil-based paints and stains must be taken to a Loudoun County Household Hazardous Waste event for disposal. More information about these events can be found here.
