BCA Board 2018 Election: Nominating Petitions Due Today by 5 PM - BCA is seeking candidates for two seats on its Board of Directors that will be filled in this fall’s election. Residents who have served on an Association committee or other board position or have an interest in serving the community typically make great candidates for a HOA board position. Specific requirements and duties for Board Members can be found in the Association’s governing documents available here. Ad Hoc Technology Community Services Committee to Present Recommendations at a BCA Board Special Meeting on Tuesday, 10/16 A Special Meeting of Brambleton’s Board of Directors is scheduled for Tuesday, October 16th at 7 PM at the Corner Clubhouse (42255 Palladian Blue Ter) for the purpose of receiving the Ad Hoc Technology Committee’s recommendations and hearing resident input. The Committee has been working for over a year to develop recommendations to the Board regarding BCA’s bulk agreement for internet and cable television programming and will present their recommendations to the Board at this meeting. Please visit this link for FAQs developed by the Committee. Belmont Trace Black Rail Fence - The fence parallel to Belmont Ridge Rd near Nickens Pl and Franklin Benjamin Ter (south of Creighton Rd) is in poor shape. Typically, BCA would replace a site amenity such as this; however, the fence has deteriorated rapidly due to the adjacent irrigation system, and it is uncharacteristic of Brambleton’s roadscapes and berms. Therefore, BCA is considering removing the fence instead of replacing it. This item will be on the Grounds & Facilities Committee’s agenda at their meeting on Tuesday, October 9th. Please email any questions, concerns, or support to


Blasting Operations in Birchwood - Blasting operations are underway and will continue for approximately the next two months. Blasting may be felt at times by residents living in the southeast corner of the community (Sections 15, 21, 24, and 27).

Active Construction Zones - Access through or in active construction areas is prohibited. Please use caution when traveling near these areas.



Fall Fest - This year's Fall Fest takes place this Saturday, October 6th from 12 to 6 PM. Come out with the whole family and enjoy rides, food trucks, live music, an artist marketplace, and more! You can also take part in this year’s Van Metre Cornhole Challenge! Register a team and compete for prizes while raising money for HeroHomes of LoudounHomeAid Northern Virginia, and Payton’s Project.

October at the Marketplace - What’s in season at the EatLoCo Brambleton Marketplace this October? Just about everything! Catch the tail end of pear, cucumber, and green bean season while you gear up to get pumpkins (of course!), sweet potatoes, and fresh leafy greens. Stop by every Sunday from 9 AM to 1 PM at the corner of Legacy and Olympia to find your fall favorites!

Blessing of the Animals - Arcola United Methodist Church will hold a Blessing of the Animals event in Legacy Park on Sunday, October 14th from 4 to 5:30 PM. All leashed pets (or those in carriers) are welcome! Click here for more information.

Do You Own a Portable Basketball Hoop? - Recent inspections have noted that several basketball hoop bases are being weighted down with improper materials and are not being stored in the proper locations. Please review the placement and stabilization guidelines, and please contact with any questions.

Exterior Lighting Inspections UnderwayBrambleton residents are responsible for ensuring the proper operation of exterior lighting fixtures which are designed to function automatically. BCA staff conducts quarterly inspections of proper operation of carriage lights, garage lights, and builder-installed landscape lights which should operate from dawn until dusk. Rhino Rides - Dust off your bike for a weekly ride with neighbors and new friends! Bicycle Outfitters staff lead Wednesday night Rhino Rides through the community, finishing at Lost Rhino Retreat. Brambleton Library VIP Sneak Peek - AhSo Restaurant and the Friends of the Brambleton Library invite you to their Brambleton Library VIP Sneak Peek fundraiser taking place on Saturday, October 20th and Sunday, October 21st at 5 PM. On either night, enjoy a 4-course dinner with wine pairings, followed by an exclusive tour of the new library before its Grand Opening on Saturday, December 1st! Back-to-School Blowout - Loudoun County invites middle school students to a “Back-to-School Blowout” outdoor festival and concert on Saturday, October 13th from 3 to 6 PM at Woodgrove Park and Round Hill Indoor Aquatic Center (17010 Evening Star Dr, Round Hill). This event was originally scheduled in September but postponed due to weather. This inaugural event is for students in grades 6-8 and promotes the health and well-being of Loudoun's young teens. Live Healthy Survey - Loudoun County encourages residents to take a few moments to complete the Live Healthy survey now underway in the region. Loudoun County is participating in the effort to survey public health needs in conjunction with other Northern Virginia cities and counties. The survey is open through October 2018 and is available in multiple languages. New Website Design Survey - Over the past year, Loudoun County has been working to redesign and reimagine a new website with a focus on the needs of residents and businesses. The county is now seeking public feedback on the new design via a quick survey. The survey can be taken online at
