BCA Director Election in Progress - The 2018 BCA Election to fill two open positions on the Board of Directors is open for online voting until 5 PM on Friday, November 9th. The Association encourages all residents to view the candidate information and vote online. Candidate profiles are posted on our website and will also be mailed to residents next week. Online voting occurs through Balloteer, a third party secure online voting contractor. Register here to vote.
- Meet the Candidates: You’re invited to meet the candidates at an informal Meet & Greet to be held on Thursday, October 25th from 7 to 8:30 PM in the Welcome Center at the Brambleton Town Center (42395 Ryan Rd, Suite 100). Drop in anytime during the event to meet each of the candidates and to learn more about their goals for serving the community.
- Save the Date for BCA’s Annual Meeting: The Association will host its Annual Meeting on Tuesday, November 13th at 7 PM at the Brambleton Corner Clubhouse (42255 Palladian Blue Ter). The purpose of this Annual Meeting is to elect two BCA directors, share Association and community information, and to provide an opportunity after the meeting for residents to ask specific questions of the Association. The Annual Meeting is also a great opportunity for you to meet the current Board members, Association staff, and your neighbors. Notice of the Annual Meeting will be mailed to all owners next week and will also include a draft agenda, proxy, instructions for voting, and profiles for each of the candidates. Special Board Meeting on Tuesday, 10/30 - The BCA Board will meet at 8:15 AM on Tuesday, October 30th at the BCA Management office to discuss and adopt the 2019 Operating Budget and Assessments as well as further discuss and consider proposals for bulk telecom services with Verizon. The meeting will open with a Resident Forum where owners can speak to the Board on the special meeting topics.
Are You Impacted by Events/Races Held at Legacy Park or the Town Center? - If you are, sign up for Event Impact alerts through our Notify Me service. This category has been established to send out alerts to Brambleton residents who desire notice of non-recurring impacts to streets surrounding Legacy Park and the Brambleton Town Center. Messages sent through this category will alert subscribed residents to events that will impact Legacy Park Dr, Greenside Dr, Olympia Dr, Emberbrook Cir, Willow Creek Way, Soave Dr, and Brambleton Plz. Impacts could include event-related road closures, towing enforcement, amplified music, or other actions that affect adjacent homes. Notices for races, concerts, and festivals will typically be sent through this service; notices for farmers markets, food truck rallies, and programming will not typically be sent.
Ad Hoc Technology Committee: Future Bulk Agreement Recommendations Presentation - The Ad Hoc Technology Committee presented their recommendations to BCA’s Board on Tuesday, October 16th regarding a potential future bulk agreement for internet and cable television programming. View their presentation and full recommendations report, including survey data, on this page. The Committee has been working for over a year to develop these recommendations. Security Camera and Safety Information Sources Survey - The Brambleton Safety & Security Committee (aka Neighborhood Watch) would like your input regarding home security cameras and the sources that you rely on for safety and security information. The Committee will use this information when considering new initiatives. This survey is for Brambleton residents; please respond only once per household. Blasting Operations in Birchwood - Blasting operations are underway and will continue for approximately the next two months. Blasting may be felt at times by residents living in the southeast corner of the community (Sections 15, 21, 24, and 27).
Active Construction Zones - Access through or in active construction areas is prohibited. Please use caution when traveling near these areas.

Beaverdam Creek Reservoir Cleanup Volunteers Needed - Volunteers are needed for the Step Up Loudoun Youth Cleanup of Beaverdam Creek Reservoir on Saturday, October 20th from 8 to 10 AM. Please consider giving an hour or two of your time to keep this important community resource beautiful. Interested volunteers can meet at the NRPA Ahrens Institute (22377 Belmont Ridge Rd).
Exterior Lighting Inspections Underway - Brambleton residents are responsible for ensuring the proper operation of exterior lighting fixtures which are designed to function automatically. BCA staff conducts quarterly inspections of proper operation of carriage lights, garage lights, and builder-installed landscape lights which should operate from dawn until dusk. Tree Care Reminders - Residents are responsible for maintaining trees and bushes on their property. These responsibilities include:
- trimming/pruning trees to a minimum of eight (8) feet above the sidewalk to allow for free, unobstructed passage;
- maintaining all trees and landscaping within the scale of the property;
- removing tree stakes which have been in place for more than one year;
- removing dead plant material promptly and planning for required replacements.

.Pet Nuisance -
With cooler temperatures, pet owners are opening windows and leaving pets outside to enjoy the nice weather. Our office has recently received an increase in concerns regarding dogs causing barking disturbances. As stated in the Declaration for Brambleton, Policy Resolution # 7
, the following shall be grounds for complaint and finding of a community nuisance:
- Pets making or causing noises of sufficient volume to interfere with other residents' rest or peaceful enjoyment of the property.
Please be mindful of your neighbors and do not allow your pet to bark for an extended period. Residents are also welcome to submit a barking dog complaint on the Loudoun County website. For emergency complaints after hours, please contact the Sheriff’s Department at 703-777-1021.

Loudoun County officials have announced that nighttime road lanes closures will continue into November to accommodate work on the Route 7/Belmont Ridge Rd interchange project. The work is expected to be completed before the Thanksgiving holiday. In advance of nighttime work, electronic message boards will be posted prior to each planned lane and road closure.
