BCA Director Election Online Voting Closes at 5 PM Today, 11/9 - The 2018 BCA Election to fill two open positions on the Board of Directors is open for online voting until 5 PM today, November 9th. The Association encourages all residents to view the candidate information and vote online. Candidate profiles are posted on our website and have been mailed to all residents. Register here to vote.

  • Important Voting Information:
    • Online voting occurs through Balloteer, a third party secure online voting contractor.
    • After you have registered to vote, you will receive an email with a link to vote and a Secure Voter ID. Please note that you will need to enter the Secure Voter ID as shown, including dashes.
    • All votes cast online are final.
    • Voting is open to all owners of residential property in Brambleton. US citizenship is not a requirement to vote.
    • To conduct the election, a quorum of approximately 550 members must be achieved. Please register online today to cast your vote!

You're Invited to BCA’s Annual Meeting - The Association will host its Annual Meeting on Tuesday, November 13th at the Brambleton Corner Clubhouse (42255 Palladian Blue Ter). Registration opens at 6:30 PM, and the meeting will start promptly at 7 PM. The purpose of this Annual Meeting is to elect two BCA directors, share Association and community information, and to provide an opportunity after the meeting for residents to ask specific questions of the Association. If you have questions pertaining to this meeting or need special accommodations to participate, please contact Rosemarie Linder at rosemarie.linder@brambleton.org or 703-542-6263.

Lace Up for Learning 5k Race Traffic - Please be advised that community trails, some residential streets, and streets within the Town Center will be in use for the Lace Up for Learning 5k race course between 8:30 AM and 9:45 AM on Saturday, November 10th. Police and course marshals will be stationed along the race route to guide traffic, but please plan travel accordingly as traffic may be slowed to allow runners to pass by. Safety is a primary concern for everyone; thank you for your cooperation! Click here to view a map of the course.

Section Acceptance Inspections - The Association will be inspecting the common areas and related improvements for deficiencies in Section 24 and Section 33 in preparation of acceptance/turnover from the Developer to the Association. Residents with common area concerns in these areas of the community are asked to email CIP@Brambleton.org with a description of the concern and location. Association staff will then inspect the concern and determine next action.

Verizon FiOS Remote Swap Program As a benefit to BCA residents, Verizon has provided a limited number of television remotes. Quantities are limited and will be available at the BCA Management Office (42395 Ryan Road, Suite 210) on a first-come, first-served basis during office hours. Residents are required to present their non-working remote in order to receive a new device. Only one new remote will be issued per Brambleton address. We are unable to honor requests for holds. Contact hoa@brambleton.org with any questions.


DEVELOPER NEWS

Blasting Operations in Birchwood - Blasting operations are underway and will continue for approximately the next two months. Blasting may be felt at times by residents living in the southeast corner of the community (Sections 15, 21, 24, and 27).

Active Construction Zones - Access through or in active construction areas is prohibited. Please use caution when traveling near these areas.

Lace Up for Learning 5k: Triple Crown Finisher Medal - If you've already completed two races in the Race Brambleton series and are signed up to participate in the Lace Up for Learning 5k tomorrow, November 10th, you qualify to earn a Triple Crown Finisher medal, sponsored by Brambleton Town Center! Stop by the Race Brambleton tent after you cross the finish line for your “brag swag”.  

Brambleton Kids Care Turkey Trail Trot & Food Drive - Join us for the Brambleton Kids Care Turkey Trail Trot & Food Drive on Thursday, November 22nd at 9 AM! Meet at the Corner Clubhouse for the 2-ish mile walk/jog/run on the trails. There is no fee to participate; however, we ask that you bring canned donations to benefit Loudoun Hunger Relief. Winter Wonderland - Come out with the whole family for Winter Wonderland on Sunday, December 2nd from 12 to 4 PM at the Brambleton Town Center! COMMUNITY STANDARDS

Design Review - The next meeting for Design Review will be on Monday, November 12th. Applications can be submitted via email to designreview@brambleton.org. If you have any questions regarding the design review process or guidelines, please visit the website or call 703-542-6263.

Seasonal Yard Waste Collection Services - Seasonal yard waste collection services will be provided through Wednesday, December 26th and will resume in March 2019. Yard waste collection occurs on Tuesdays, and materials should not be placed curbside on any other days. Here are some yard waste collection guidelines:

  • Grass clippings, leaves, and brush or limbs may be placed in biodegradable paper bags, clear plastic bags, or personal containers marked as Yard Waste. 
  • Brush or limbs must be less than 6 inches in diameter, cut into 4 ft lengths or less, bundled with rope or twine, and cannot exceed 50 lbs.
  • Republic Services do not collect dirt, bags of mulch, sod, rocks, open containers with poison ivy/oak/sumac, or uncontained brush with thorns.

Brambleton Yard Waste stickers are available at the BCA Management Office. These stickers are free to all residents to mark designated yard debris containers. Please refer to the website for more information.

Neighborly Considerations at the Bus Stop - When waiting for the school bus, please be respectful of the private property around you. Please be conscientious and remember that loud noises and yelling may disturb others who live near the bus stop. More information on the Loudoun County Noise Ordinance can be found here. TALK OF THE TOWN CENTER

SOS Security Replaces Signal 88 - Brambleton Town Center Associates is pleased to announce the engagement of SOS Security, effective Thursday, November 15th, 2018. We look forward to SOS Security providing a high level of service and professionalism as they monitor activity in and around the Town Center. SOS Security will be on duty touring the Town Center between the hours of 12 PM and 12 AM. Learn more about SOS Security at www.sossecurity.com.

Brambleton Library: Library Card Registration - Get ready for the Grand Opening of the Brambleton Library on Saturday, December 1st by signing up early for a library card! Loudoun Library representatives will be onsite at the Brambleton Library hosting pre-opening library card registrations on November 16, 26 & 27 from 1 to 8 PM. You can also register at www.library.loudoun.gov/GetACard and pick up your card within 30 days. 


COUNTY CORNER


Loudoun County HHW Collection Event - The next Loudoun County Household Hazardous Waste collection event will take place on Saturday, November 17th at Claude Moore Park from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Loudoun County conducts several collection events throughout the year to collect used and unwanted household hazardous materials such as gasoline and household chemicals. LCSO 2018 Holiday Toy Drive - The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your assistance to help make this holiday season bright for Loudoun children by donating to LCSO’s Holiday Toy Drive and Fill-The-Box Campaign! Community members can donate new, unwrapped toys for children ages infant to teen. Donations will be accepted until Thursday, December 13th, and they can be dropped off at any LCSO Station, M-F from 8:30 AM to 5 PM. Click here for more information.
