Congratulations to the Loudoun South Little League 9/10 National All-Star Team! - Brambleton residents Tyler Fetterman, Cooper Nelson, Troy Koerner and Colin Scherer were all part of a team that swept through the District 16 Championship and went on to become Virginia State Champions. They competed in the Tournament of State Champions this week in Greenville, North Carolina, where they defeated teams from Florida, South Carolina, and Georgia before falling to North Carolina in a hard-fought championship game. Congratulations on a great run boys!
Brambleton to Host 2015 ODLS All-Star Swim Meet - Pool Hours and Traffic Impacted - Tomorrow, August 1st. Brambleton Corner Pool will open at or around 1:00 PM in order to host the 2015 Old Dominion Swim League All Star Meet in the morning. Expect heavy traffic in the vicinity of the pool between 6:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Please watch out for pedestrians.

Development Activity Update - Brambleton’s developer has advised our office that bond release construction work will begin or continue in the sections noted below. The type of work to be done may include asphalt repair; concrete marking, break and repair; marking, or digging and installation of street lights. Work of this nature typically begins in the early morning and is completed by the early afternoon. All work is weather dependent and may be rescheduled based upon weather or other unforeseen conditions. See the site map for the location of each section. In addition to the ongoing work on Northstar Blvd. and development in the community, for the week beginning 8/3/15, the following activity is planned:

Our office works closely with the Developer’s office to include information in the Friday Flash; however, with the unpredictable pace of these activities, it is not always possible. We do serve as the liaison to the Developer’s office, so if you have questions, contact us via email or submit a request on our website.
Northstar Blvd. Closed Between Creighton Road and Majestic Knolls Drive - This section of Northstar Blvd. is closed through the summer to all vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Hazardous conditions will exist throughout this construction project, and it is imperative for safety's sake that everyone remains clear of this area. The detour for pedestrians, runners and bicyclists is the Creighton Road. trail to the Olympia Drive. sidewalk to the Brambleton Town Center to Northstar Blvd. Vehicular traffic shall use Creighton Road. to Belmont Ridge Road to Ryan Road for their detour. Please note that there is no outlet to Northstar Blvd. from Majestic Knolls Drive and Emerald Chase Place, and the underpass is also closed.
The Brambleton Bettas Have Had Another Amazing Season - with over 300 swimmers and an undefeated regular season record! The team will be hosting the League-Wide All Star Meet on Saturday, August 1st, from 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Come out and cheer our Bettas on! If you're in the vicinity of the Brambleton Corner Pool, expect heavy traffic and please watch for pedestrians.
Kids Triathlon - Last Day for Early Registration! - Take advantage of early bird pricing for the triathlon scheduled for Saturday, September 12th, at 8:00 AM. Registration has sold out the last three years, so don’t miss out! In order for this event to run as smoothly as possible, we could use your help! If you are able to lend a hand for one or two shifts, please take a moment to register here. There are also several sponsorship opportunities still available. Children’s Storytime Location Change - Storytime will be held at the Welcome Center in the Brambleton Town Center on August 4th, 11th, and 18th at 10:00 AM. It will resume at the Community Center on September 1st. For questions, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Little Free Libraries are Here! - Brambleton is making it easier for you to enjoy your favorite book. Six new, fully stocked library kiosks have been installed throughout the community, each containing a fun mix of books for readers of all ages. Need a book? Take a book! Sizzlin’ Summer Concert - Thursday, August 6th. Gonzo’s Nose is back! DC’s premier party band will be here to help you relive the 80’s and 90’s - no mall bangs or parachute pants required. Come hang with us and enjoy dinner from Que Divas Rib Ride and dessert from Hawaii’s Best Shaved Ice. Gate open at 6:00 PM; show starts at 7:00 PM. You are welcome to bring a picnic, beer/wine, chairs, and blankets. ID’s will be checked at the gate. Pets and smoking are prohibited.
Teen After Dark Swim - Friday, August 7th, from 8:00 PM - 11:00 PM at Beacon Crest Pool. 6th - 12th graders, stop by for a late night swim. Feel free to bring snacks or order a pizza to be delivered to the pool. Present your Brambleton Pool Pass to enter. You may bring one non-Brambleton guest by using your household guest passes.
LCSO Child Safety Day - Saturday, August 8th, 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM. The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office will be onsite for the 3rd Annual Child Safety Day at the Brambleton Town Center. This free event will feature law enforcement displays and highlight some of the services that the LCSO can offer. Kids will also have the opportunity to check out LCSO cruisers, motorcycles and other vehicles! Plan on spending a couple hours at this worthwhile event right here at our Town Center.
Common Area Encroachment - As a friendly reminder for residents with lots adjacent to Common Areas, the Association wishes to make you aware of our efforts to ensure that the Common Areas are maintained with a harmonious aesthetic as natural areas. Brambleton’s Declaration states that no one owner, or group of owners, is entitled to make personal or exclusive use of the Common Area
Neither owners nor residents should improve or make changes to the common area without prior written approval from the Association. As such improvements are considered a violation of the Association’s governing documents, the Association will intervene and require the owner to return the common area to the preexisting condition; or the Association may opt to act to restore the area, and the owner may be responsible for the costs related to the reconditioning of the common area. Storage of personal items or equipment in the common area is also considered encroachment and is prohibited.

- Patios are a popular modification to add to the back yard in the summer. The important thing to remember when applying for a patio is to provide both the sketch of the shape and design of the patio as well as information regarding materials, size, height of any walls, and any additional items you may want to add to the patio
. Photos or spec sheets are needed for additions to the patio, such as constructed fire pits, fireplaces, or column lights. A completed application also requires a copy of a certified plat with the patio marked on it as close to scale as possible. When emailing applications or additional requested information, please use your address as the subject line.
