AROUND BRAMBLETON

INSIDE BCA

Verizon ONT & Wiring Conversion Update - Verizon has launched an infrastructure upgrade campaign in Brambleton. This work is required to enable all BCA homes to access the enhanced internet speeds that will be provided by the new agreement. To ensure an orderly, timely, and fair process for all, BCA has requested that Verizon start in the oldest sections of Brambleton and progress to the newer sections. This work is project to occur through Q3 2019. It has been determined that Verizon will provide door hangers to homes by section, with the request that the resident call to make an appointment. As an incentive to call and make the appointment, once the work is completed for that individual home, the internet speed will be upgraded to 100/100 Mbps. There is not a published timeline for sections or individual streets at this time. Upon learning from Verizon that they have received calls from residents who have not yet received their door hanger for an appointment, BCA has requested that Verizon decline to process out-of-order requests until the necessary infrastructure work is completed. Please contact hoa@brambleton.org if you have questions or need more information.

Now is the Time to Winterize Your Home - Residents should take action to winterize irrigation systems by draining and turning off exterior faucets in order to help prevent costly damage from pipe bursts due to freezing water. More timely tips for winterizing your home can be found here and here.

Expecting Holiday Package Deliveries? - If you’re not home to receive packages, consider asking a neighbor to keep an eye out and collect packages for you. Alternatively, have deliveries made to an attended location – your office, or perhaps a neighbor’s home. Many retailers offer in-store pickup, in-vehicle pickup, or locker services. Furthermore, USPS offers Informed Delivery, and don’t forget that the UPS store at the Brambleton Town Center offers Mail & Package Receiving Services. In the unfortunate circumstance that a delivered package goes missing, residents are encouraged to file reports directly with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office. For most instances, an online report can be filed. If you observe suspicious activity, please contact LCSO immediately by calling 703-777-1021 or call 911 in an emergency.

2019 Assessment Rates Effective 1/1/2019 - The 2019 Budget summary and the 2019 Assessment rates were recently mailed to all owners. After making your December assessment payment, please take a moment to review and adjust your payments to align with the new assessment rates. Contact hoa@brambleton.org if you have questions or need more information regarding the various payment options available.

Help to Improve Community Safety: Join your Neighbors on the Neighbors App - BCA has partnered with Ring to promote the Neighbors App. The app offers neighbors the ability to share real-time safety and security-related information. There is no requirement to have Ring equipment to access and participate in the app. All content is focused on safety, and postings are moderated by the Ring Neighbors team and are completely anonymous. Find the app in the App Store and on Google Play. BCA has also joined the RingMaster program which offers residents exclusive discounts on Ring products. The program requires that residents opt in and make their purchase through a unique link; email “Invite Me” to hoa@brambleton.org to receive this exclusive offer link. Through the holidays, Ring is offering specials and sales that are also available through the program; discounts do not apply to sale prices. Contact hoa@brambleton.org for questions about our promotion of the Ring Neighbors app or participation in the RingMasters program.
