LCSO Child Safety Day - Tomorrow, August 8th, 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM.  The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office will be onsite for the 3rd Annual Child Safety Day at the Brambleton Town Center. This free event will feature law enforcement displays and highlight some of the services that the LCSO can offer.  Kids will also have the opportunity to check out LCSO cruisers, motorcycles and other vehicles!  Plan on spending a couple hours at this worthwhile event right here at our Town Center.

Northstar Blvd. Closed Between Creighton Road and Majestic Knolls Drive - This section of Northstar Blvd. is closed through the summer to all vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Hazardous conditions will exist throughout this construction project, and it is imperative for safety's sake that everyone remains clear of this area. The detour for pedestrians, runners and bicyclists is the Creighton Road. trail to the Olympia Drive. sidewalk to the Brambleton Town Center to Northstar Blvd. Vehicular traffic shall use Creighton Road. to Belmont Ridge Road to Ryan Road for their detour. Please note that there is no outlet to Northstar Blvd. from Majestic Knolls Drive and Emerald Chase Place, and the underpass is also closed.

Development Activity Update - Brambleton’s developer will be performing bond release in the sections noted below. Work may include asphalt repair; concrete marking, break and repair; marking, or digging and installation of street lights. Work typically begins in the early morning and is complete by the early afternoon. . See the site map for the location of each section. In addition to the ongoing work on Northstar Blvd. and development in the community, for the week beginning 8/10/15, the following activity is planned:

Please note that during the bond release process, several inspections are conducted and residents are requested to review and take action to ensure that the following elements are in compliance. 

  •          Sprinkler/irrigation systems may not be placed in the Right-Of-Way
  •          Plantings over 3’ in height may not be placed in the Right-of Way
  •          Hardscapes around mail boxes should be no more than 3’ in height
  •          Trees hanging over sidewalk should be trimmed up at least 8’
  •          Vehicles with leaking fluids should be removed from streets and repaired

Our office works closely with the Developer’s office to include information in the Friday Flash; however, with the unpredictable pace of these activities, it is not always possible.  We do serve as the liaison to the Developer’s office, so if you have questions, contact us via email or submit a request on our website. 


After Dark Teen Swim - TONIGHT!! 8:00 PM -11:00 PM, Beacon Crest Pool.  6th - 12th grade Brambleton residents, come have the pool to yourselves! No parents! No toddlers! Just you and your friends.  Feel free to bring snacks or order a pizza to be delivered to the pool.  Guests are allowed by using your Brambleton guest passes. 

Children’s Storytime Location Change - Storytime will be held at the Welcome Center in the Brambleton Town Center on August 11th, and 18th at 10:00 AM.  It will resume at the Community Center on September 1st.  For questions, contact

Float n’ Flicks - August 17th at Brambleton Corner Pool.  Movie starts at dusk.  This time we're showing DADDY DAYCARE!  Come enjoy this Eddy Murphy classic with your family! Bring your floats, snacks, and drinks for a lovely night under the stars.  BCA staff willl be on hand serving free popcorn.  Please bring your pool pass to get into the facility.
Brambleton Idol and Bonus Concert - August 21st, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Brambleton Town Center.  Do you have what it takes to be the FIRST Brambleton Idol?  Come step up on the big stage and belt it out! The Ladies Board of Inova Loudoun Hospital Donation Event - August 8th. The Ladies Board of ILH will be collecting donations for their Annual Rummage Sale this October, the proceeds of which will go to benefit Inova Loudoun Hospital.  Donations will be accepted this Saturday from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM at the Lansdowne and Cornwall Hospital locations.  For more information, go to or call 703-771-2985.

Sign Up for Lace Up - Early bird registration is underway for the 3rd Annual Lace Up for Learning 5k & Mascot Mini Mile on Saturday, November 14th. This family-oriented "fun-racing" event is designed to encourage a healthy lifestyle and engage local communities in support of our schools. You choose which school to support when you register! Undercroft Screening on Decks - Please keep in mind the Design Guidelines when building your deck this summer. All non-builder provided decks must be approved by the Covenants Committee.  Except where specific requirements imposed by Brambleton’s builders exist, decks must conform to the Design Guidelines. There are several housing types which have specific Design Guidelines, and the Covenants Committee will not knowingly approve an application which is contrary to the specific builder imposed requirements applicable to the housing type. Decks which are not greater than four feet above grade, as measured from the lowest point of grade at any point of the perimeter of the deck, to the lowest horizontal support, must use lattice or landscape materials to screen the undercroft area. Lattice must be painted or stained to comply with the color guidelines. Lattice may be vinyl where vinyl material is used for the deck railing components. Decks which are greater than four feet above grade, as measured from grade to the lowest horizontal support, may not use lattice to screen the undercroft area. Design Review - The next meeting for Design Review will be on August 10, 2015 at 6:30 PM. Highlight on Design Guidelines - The Design Review Guidelines and a copy of the Design Review Application can be easily found on our website.  It is beneficial to review the guidelines before getting estimates on any exterior modification. The guidelines also indicate which modifications do not require an application.  When emailing an application to the association, please send them to, and use your property address as the subject line. This allows us to match additional information with an already submitted application.

Keep Loudoun Beautiful - The next Watershed Cleanup event is planned to take place at the Beaverdam Creek Reservoir on Saturday, August 8th from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM.  KLB is looking for 70 volunteers to man 35 canoes to remove unwanted litter and debris from the reservoir.  To participate in this event, register on the KLB Website.
