Development Activity Update - Brambleton’s developer continues to perform bond release in the sections noted below. Work may include asphalt repair; concrete marking, break and repair; marking, or digging and installation of street lights. Work typically begins in the early morning and is complete by the early afternoon. See the site map for the location of each section. In addition to the ongoing work on Northstar Blvd. and development in the community, for the week beginning 8/17/15, the following activity is planned:

Please note that during the bond release process, several inspections are conducted and residents are requested to review and take action to ensure that the following elements are in compliance.
- Sprinkler/irrigation systems may not be placed in the right-of-way.
- Plantings over 3’ in height may not be placed in the right-of way.
- Hardscapes around mail boxes should be no more than 3’ in height.
- Trees hanging over sidewalk should be trimmed up at least 8’.
- Vehicles with leaking fluids should be removed from streets and repaired.
Our office works closely with the Developer’s office to include information in the Friday Flash; however, with the unpredictable pace of these activities, it is not always possible. We do serve as the liaison to the Developer’s office, so if you have questions, contact us via email or submit a request on our website.
Children’s Storytime Location Change - Storytime will be held at the Welcome Center in the Brambleton Town Center on August 18th at 10:00 AM. It will resume at the Community Center on September 1st. For questions, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Float n’ Flicks - TONIGHT at Brambleton Corner Pool. Movie starts at dusk. This time we're showing DADDY DAYCARE! Come enjoy this Eddy Murphy classic with your family! Sizzlin' Summer Concert - Thursday, August 20th. Get into the groove with Back to Zero, one of the most energetic, versatile party bands out there. Want dinner with that show? DC Slices will be there to take care of you. Gates open at 6:00 PM. Show starts at 7:00 PM. You're welcome to bring blankets, chairs, and coolers. BYOB. ID's will be checked at the gate.
Brambleton Idol and Bonus Concert - August 21st, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Brambleton Town Center. Do you have what it takes to be the FIRST Brambleton Idol? Come step up on the big stage and belt it out! Save the Date - B_Fit Trail Orientation on August 22nd - Join Coach Jeff Strahan (Fitness Image Results) next Saturday August 22nd at 8:00 AM, for a FREE, hands-on fitness orientation. Learn how to get a fun, full-body workout, utilizing the B_Fit trail stations. What a beautiful way to work out, moving from station to station, along the scenic trails of Brambleton. Meet at the Corner Clubhouse Pool parking lot for the 2.25 mile loop, and enter a raffle to win a free month of boot camp.
Register Your Pup Now! - The annual Doggone Wild Pool Party is on! Bring your pooch to the Community Center pool for an end-of-the-season pool party just for them on September 6th at 2:00 PM. Brambleton Kids Care will be onsite collecting donations for Friends of Homeless Animals, and Woofies will offer free puppy pedicures. For additional information, please click here. Run to Register Before School Starts - Registration for the fall Brambleton Kids Run the Nation program is now open! This structured co-ed youth program (developed by the Road Runners Club of America) encourages the enjoyment of running/fitness. Emphasis is on participation and developing a healthy lifestyle. Focus will be on improving personal times while increasing endurance and distance. The program culminates with group participation in Lace Up for Learning 5k & Mascot Mini Mile. Peddlers & Solicitors - Recently there has been an increase in concerns related to aggressive salespeople going door-to-door in the community. They are required to be licensed by the County according to Loudoun County Ordinance Chapter 828, Peddlers & Solicitors. Standards of Conduct for licensed solicitors per Section 828.08 of the Ordinance are summarized as follows:
All solicitors shall:
- Conduct themselves at all times in an orderly and lawful manner
- Identify themselves by way of the County issued permit when requested
- Immediately identify themselves and their purpose for which they are on the premises
- Give written receipts of all orders taken
- Operate only between 9:00am and 9:00pm
- Leave the premises in an orderly fashion when requested by the resident or homeowner
