AROUND BRAMBLETON

INSIDE BCA

Events Committee - We are currently looking for members to join our new Events Committee. Members will bring their creative ideas for new events, update current events, enhance the volunteer program, and help foster community sponsorships. Meetings will take place on the first Tuesday of the month as needed but no less than quarterly. If you are interested, please read the Events Committee Charter and complete the Committee Member Application; both can be found here. Applications are due by Sunday, March 3rd.

Brambleton Pool Lifeguards - Are you interested in lifeguarding at a Brambleton pool this year? BCA is partnering with American Pool to provide pool management at our pools. Minimum starting rate for an entry-level lifeguard is $10/hr. Click here (select “Ashburn” from the work area menu) or call 703-579-0885 to apply.
  • Lifeguard candidate interviews are scheduled to take place in Brambleton on Friday, March 29th and Tuesday, April 16th. More details will be provided soon.
BCA is Hiring - BCA is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Resident Services Advisor position. Please visit our Careers page for a job description and more information.

Townhome Grounds Maintenance Program - Services are resuming on townhome properties that receive grounds maintenance as part of the BCA program. The landscaping contractor has started spring bed cleanup and definition. Details for this limited service program are outlined here. Residents are reminded to take the following precautions to ensure that services can be properly performed:
  • Unrestricted access to the backyard must be available for services.
  • Gates must remain unlocked and function properly. Property owners are responsible for repairing gates that improperly latch or are out of alignment.
  • Personal items such as lawn furniture, toys, hoses, and other items must be removed from lawn areas before services can occur.
  • Pets cannot be present during services. Ensure that all gates are closed and properly latched prior to letting pets into yards.
Residents that wish to opt out of service or part of the service (ex. fertilizer applications) may do so by submitting a completed Opt Out Form to operations@brambleton.org. Please note: This form must be filled out each year in order to opt out. Residents that choose to opt out are still obligated to pay the full monthly assessment. Questions can be submitted to operations@brambleton.org.

COMMUNITY STANDARDS

Does Your Mailbox Need Repair? - The supplier and installer for most Brambleton mailboxes is Delmarva Mailboxes, who can be reached at 1-800-689-1265. They will ask for your contact information, address, community name (Brambleton), and a description of what is broken (you can send them a picture of the mailbox style). A credit card is required at the time of order, but your card won’t be charged until repairs are completed. Please note that they are a warehouse and not a store. You will have the option of scheduling repairs or ordering parts for self-repair.

Do You Own a Portable Basketball Hoop? - Recent inspections have noted several basketball hoop bases being weighted down with improper material and not being stored in the proper location.
