In an effort to maintain Brambleton as one of the most architecturally pleasing and best maintained communities in the area, comprehensive exterior inspections of homes and lots are ongoing throughout the year. These inspections are done by section and note all exterior modifications on residential lots. Included as part of the comprehensive inspections is confirmation that proper documentation, such as an approved application, is on file with the Association. All inspections are performed by members of the Brambleton Community Association staff. Staff does not enter fenced yards or access decks during these inspections. In accordance with the Association’s enforcement policies, notice will be sent to provide time to correct items noted to be in violation of Brambleton’s governing documents or policies. - The Design Review Guidelines and a copy of the Design Review Application can be easily found on our website
. It is beneficial to review the specific guidelines pertaining to your planned modification before getting estimates or meeting with contractors so that you'll know if there are any restrictions to your proposed project that you should disclose to them. Decks are a common modification and have varying guidelines depending on the type of home (attached or detached), the builder options available at the time of construction, and the height of the deck. Decks for which the lowest horizontal beam is less than four feet from grade must have undercroft screening or lattice or sufficient landscaping. More detail can be found in the Design Guidelines for decks
- The next meeting for Design Review will be on September 14, 2015 at 7:00 PM. Applications can be submitted via email to email@example.com
