INSIDE BCA


Brambleton Pool Lifeguards - Are you interested in lifeguarding at a Brambleton pool this year? BCA is partnering with American Pool to provide pool management at our pools. Minimum starting rate for an entry-level lifeguard is $10/hr. Click here (select “Ashburn” from the work area menu) or call 703-579-0885 to apply.
  • Lifeguard candidate interviews are scheduled to take place on Tuesday, April 16th from 12 to 6 PM at the Community Center. View this flyer for more information and to sign up for an interview.
  • Hired lifeguards can click here to register for certification classes at Beacon Crest Pool.
Community Mulching - Our contractor has begun spring mulching of the common areas and townhomes that are part of the townhome grounds maintenance program. This work will continue for the next two months.
  • Gates must remain unlocked and functioning properly to receive service.
  • Personal items such as lawn furniture, hoses, or other items must be removed from landscape areas before service begins.
  • Landscape beds with edging, exposed irrigation, decorative yard ornaments, excessive non-builder installed plantings, or other items that can be damaged will be skipped or bypassed.

Scavenger Hunt with Flat Bruno - From now until Sunday, April 21st, Brambleton kids ages 9-14 can search the neighborhood for ten hidden Flat Bruno spots! At each spot, take a quick selfie with Flat Bruno. Each hidden spot found earns you one raffle ticket for a $50 Regal Cinemas gift card drawing. Brew Fest - Join us for our fifth annual Brew Fest on Saturday, May 18th from 1 to 6 PM! Save $5 off of General Admission tickets when you purchase tickets online. Click here to purchase tickets and sign up to volunteer.

Luis Rosado Tennis Academy: Spring Break Camp - Luis Rosado Tennis Academy will hold a Spring Break Camp on April 15-18 from 9 AM to 1 PM. Click here to register and find more information about this camp and other programs. Limited spaces are available, so register today!


COMMUNITY STANDARDS

Spring Property Maintenance - The Community Standards Advisors will soon begin community-wide inspections to ensure compliance with property maintenance standards. For more information on our general property standards, please visit our website. If you have any specific questions, please contact communitystandards@brambleton.org.

Home-Based Businesses - Home-based businesses are permitted with proper approval from the Board of Directors and the appropriate government agency. These businesses should not generate significant traffic or parking issues from clients, customers, or persons related to the business. This restriction and others are documented in Policy Resolution #10.

Model Grand Openings in Birchwood - Join Van Metre on Saturday, April 13th from 12 to 3 PM for the grand opening celebration of two new model home collections in Birchwood at Brambleton: The Views: Single Family Homes and The Flats: One-Level Condominiums. Northstar Blvd Paving - Contractors will be milling and paving asphalt on Northstar Blvd between Ryan Rd and Belmont Ridge Rd over the next month. Traffic will be temporarily impacted during this work.

Mobile Blood Drive - Northern Virginia Orthodontics and INOVA Blood Services will host a mobile blood drive on Saturday, April 13th from 8:15 AM to 2:30 PM at Brambleton Plaza (across from the Brambleton Library). Spring Shredding Event - Need to get rid of old paperwork? Dan Thiewes is hosting a shredding event on Saturday, April 13th from 9 AM to 12 PM at the RE/MAX Premier parking lot (44675 Cape Ct, Ashburn). Loudoun County Kindergarten Enrollment - Enrollment is now open for 2019-20 kindergarten students at Loudoun County Public Schools. Staffing decisions are based on projected enrollment numbers. Click here for more registration information.
