BCA SPOTLIGHT

Summer Kick-Off - Start the summer off right at this year's Summer Kick-Off! Join us today, June 7th from 5 to 8 PM at the Brambleton Corner Pool for music, games, contests, and more! Bram Life Pass required. No guest passes allowed for this event. Food/drinks will not be available for purchase; bringing snacks/drinks is encouraged. Sponsored by Chesterbrook Academy.

Teen Pool Party - Following our Summer Kick-Off event today, June 7th, rising 6th-12th graders are invited to stay at the Corner Pool for a Teen Pool Party! The pool will stay open until 11 PM, and pizza and beverages will be provided. Bram Life Pass required. Guests are welcome to attend for a $5 cash fee to be paid at the door.


INSIDE BCA

Brambleton Bettas Swim Meet - The Brambleton Bettas will hold a time trial swim meet on Saturday, June 8th at the Community Center Pool. The pool will open after the meet. The anticipated opening time is 1 PM.

BCA EVENTS & PROGRAMS


Teen Summer Service Days - Brambleton teens are invited to visit JK Community Farm on Thursday, June 20th from 10 AM to 1 PM to perform community service work. Click here to sign up and find more information.

World of Food Trucks - EatLoco's World of Food Trucks is returning to Brambleton this summer! Come out to Legacy Park and Olympia Dr to find a variety of local food trucks and relax with family and friends. Rallies take place every other Thursday from 5:30 to 8:30 PM, June 20th through September 26th. Click here and visit www.eatloco.org/locotrucks for more information.

Summer Concert Series - Our 2019 Summer Concert Series kicks off with Delta Spur on Thursday, June 27th from 7:30 to 9:30 PM! This free event is located on the western end of Legacy Park. Gates open at 6 PM, and kid-friendly band Rocknoceros will perform from 6:30 to 7:15 PM. Visit our website for a full summer concert schedule and more information.

Red White & BRAM - Join us for a community festival on Saturday, June 29th from 6 to 10 PM with live music, games, food trucks, beer, wine, and FIREWORKS!!! This year’s festival will be located off of Shreveport Dr near the Brambleton Barn. Click here for a map and more information. 
  • Tickets will be sold at the gate. Ticket cost is $5 per person with a Bram Life Pass (pool pass) and $10 per person without a pass.

COMMUNITY STANDARDS

Design Review - The next meeting for Design Review will be on Monday, June 10th. Applications can be submitted via email to designreview@brambleton.org. If you have any questions regarding the design review process or guidelines, please visit our website or call 703-542-6263.

Commercial Vehicles - BCA would like to remind residents that parking commercial vehicles in a visible location within Brambleton, other than on a temporary and non-recurring basis, is not permitted, per our Vehicle Policy Resolution and our Declaration (Article 8.2 (n) Vehicles). Additional information on Parking Commercial Vehicles in Residential Zones can be found through Loudoun County here. If you have any questions, please contact communitystandards@brambleton.org.

Home-Based Businesses - Home-based businesses are permitted with proper approval from the Covenants Committee and the appropriate government agency. These businesses should not generate significant traffic or parking issues from clients, customers, or persons related to the business. This restriction and others are documented in Policy Resolution #10.


DEVELOPER NEWS

Northstar Blvd Paving - Contractors will be milling and paving asphalt on Northstar Blvd between Ryan Rd and Belmont Ridge Rd over the next month. Traffic will be temporarily impacted during this work.


TALK OF THE TOWN CENTER

Loudoun Book & Arts Festival This WeekendDon’t miss the inaugural Loudoun Book & Arts Festival this Saturday, June 8th from 10 AM to 5 PM in and around the Brambleton Library! There will be interactive displays with local artists, talks with bestselling authors, live music, book sales, and so much more! Admission is FREE! Regal Summer Movie Express - Regal Summer Movie Express has announced their summer movie lineup! Starting Tuesday, June 11th, enjoy 13 weeks of your favorite kid-friendly films on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10 AM at Fox Cinemas. A portion of Summer Movie Express proceeds will benefit the Will Rogers Institute. See the weekly movie lineup here.

  • Fox Cinemas is also hosting a promotion for the new film MIB: International on Saturday, June 15th from 5 to 8 PM. Enjoy prizes, a photo booth, self defense demonstrations from Super Kicks Karate, and more!


GREATER BRAMBLETON

Dulles South Food Pantry: Brambleton Food Drive - Dulles South Food Pantry will be holding a food drive in the Brambleton Welcome Center from June 11-28. Residents are encouraged to drop off non-perishable food donations, including items of need such as rice, dried beans, breakfast items, and jelly. Brambleton Bettas: Mini Bettas - Brambleton Mini Bettas try-outs will take place on June 17-18 at the Brambleton Corner Pool. The program is for swimmers ages 5-8 who can swim at least half of the pool length independently. Mini practices will be held daily on weekdays in June and July from 10:30 to 11 AM. Space is limited to 25 swimmers, and the cost is $225 per swimmer. More info can be found on the Bettas website.


COUNTY CORNER


LCAS Rabies Vaccination Clinic - Loudoun County Animal Services is hosting a low-cost rabies vaccination clinic on Sunday, June 9th from 11 AM to 3 PM at the Dulles South Recreation Center. Dogs and cats as young as 12 weeks may participate in this walk-in clinic. Click here for more information.

Loudoun County Primary Elections - A Primary Election will take place on Tuesday, June 11th to nominate candidates for offices to be voted on in the General Election on November 5, 2019. Visit the Loudoun County website for more election information.
